Nurkovic: I’m not frustrated

Kaizer Chiefs forward Samir Nurkovic has denied being frustrated by his situation at the club as he struggles to replicate his form of last season.
Nurkovic announced his arrival on the scene with 14 goals and six assists in 31 appearances in his maiden season in the PSL with Chiefs.
The Serbian underwent surgery in September last year and was subsequently sidelined for three months, which has largely affected his returns this season.
He has managed just one goal in 15 appearances under coach Gavin Hunt, but dismissed any suggestions that he is frustrated by his inability to help the team as they languish in 11th position on the DStv Premiership table.
“Frustrated? Not at all, because it’s a big difference. Last season, when I came to the club, we had one and a half months of pre-season and preparing,” Nurkovic told the media.
“But the difference this season is that I missed a lot of games from the beginning, I just went from recovery treatments and sessions straight to the games.
“I’m happy that I am finally back and that I can help the team. Obviously it’s not frustrating for me, I have to just work hard and hopefully the next game will be the game [to score].”
